Adam & Eve Day Spa: Bigger and Better Part 1

That colourful, ultra-mod building at 56 Old Hope Road is home to the new Adam & Eve Day Spa. The 10,000-square-foot stand-alone building doubles that of the previous Tobago Avenue location. Few stones have been left unturned at this location, which will include (when construction is completed) a whopping 17 treatment rooms, a training facility and a Zen garden complete with waterfall.

The spa, which opened in time for Mother’s Day, has been teasing its new location for months, and the Tuesday Style Dryer (TSD) team was naturally first in line to see if the new location would live up to the hype. It did not disappoint! The interior is elegant and muted presenting a stark contrast to the bold hues that cover the building’s exterior. The reception area is an eclectic mix of clean architectural lines and traditional-style furniture. Aqua accents pop against a tufted, brown leather sofa for the perfect combination of water and earth. A dark-wood and glass cabinet covers the back wall which comfortably houses spa products.

Adam & Eve Day Spa principals Garth and Kimesha Walker shared with TSD that while architect Mala Morrison proposed the layout, they hand-selected all the design elements for the reception area that include the jaw-dropping granite reception desk, oversized artwork, and contemporary chandeliers from Active Home Centre.

With 12 years in the business Adam & Eve Day Spa has smartly maintained elements that became the fabric of their operation — like the rainforest treatment suite. But with space no longer an issue the company has also introduced some entirely new elements like the Wax Room, Private Room, and the ultra all-inclusive Adam & Eve suite — a fabulous black and gold themed space where, let’s just say, access requires an equally impressive-looking credit card!

But it doesn’t end there. Exclusive pampering takes place at the Salon. And for women who prefer the look and feel of gel nails, the Mani Pedi Spa Room will be your new fave spot.

As the world contemplates a slow return to ‘normalcy’ Adam & Eve is ready to ease your mind, body and soul back just as slowly in the Float Tank Room or remove every ounce of hair accumulated during the COVID-19 quarantine courtesy of the intense pulse light (IPL) machine. Membership has its privileges and includes complimentary Catherine’s Peak water, Tru-Juice, Baileys, or Johnnie Walker beverages served by Concierge Officer Tanesha Harris.

Tuesday Style Dryer rolls out more from Adam & Eve next week.
