St Catherine man to answer to several charges including murder
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — Thirty-four-year-old Errol Williams, otherwise called ‘Coolie Man’ or ‘Richie’ of Maiden Lane, Kingston will have to answer to several charges including murder following an incident in Johnson Pen, St Catherine on Friday, March 4.
According to police report, about 10:30 am, a woman was alongside a number of people on the compound of a manufacturing company, when a car drove up and armed men exited the vehicle and opened fire. The woman and two others were shot and injured.
The injured individuals were then transported to hospital where the woman was pronounced dead and the others were treated.
The deceased has since been identified as 47-year-old Nadine Kelly-Reid, a business woman of Kitson Town, St Catherine.
The police said Williams was arrested on May 18 in relation to the incident. He was charged with murder, shooting with intent, two counts of wounding with intent and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
