FLASHBACK — Charokee Young
Charokee Young, seen here blazing the tracks for Hydel High, competes mainly in the 400m and 800m. She was third in the 400m at the JAAA National Senior and Junior Championships in Kingston recently, which earned her a spot on the team to Oregon 2022. The 21-year-old has to her credit the title of NCAA champion, underlining her competitiveness on the US collegiate circuit. Her best outdoor time in the 400m is 49.87, and 2:06.02 minutes in the 800m. Young is also known to have run the women 1500m, with a best effort of 4:54.55 minutes. Still youthful and new to the big stage, Young has time on her side as she looks set to make her mark in years to come. She already gives off the aura of a star with her sense of fashion, style and outgoing nature. Young is taking part in the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, gaining valuable experience for what is expected to be a promising future.
