Two people in custody after firearm, ammo seizure in Hanover
HANOVER, Jamaica – Lawmen in the Hanover Division seized a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol along with three magazines and 20 rounds of ammunition during an operation at McQuarrie district, Hopewell in the parish on Monday, November 7.
Reports from the Sandy Bay Police are that about 7:50 am, a police team searched a premises and found two magazines. A further search was done and the firearm and the other magazine were found in bushes.
A man and a woman, who were occupants of the house, were taken into custody.
Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations, the police said.
