Man assaults cabbie, shoots at off duty cop
A 29-year-old mechanic has been charged with shooting with intent and malicious destruction of property following a shooting incident on Studio One Boulevard in Kingston on Thursday, March 23.
Charged is Dwayne Wilkie of Studio One Boulevard.
Reports are that Wilkie was involved in a dispute with a taxi operator during which he physically assaulted the man. The man left and returned with an off duty police officer in which they were met with gunfire.
The officer managed to apprehend Wilkie and handed him over to detectives assigned to the Half Way Tree Criminal Investigations Branch.
