Motorcyclist dies in Manchester crash, pillion injured

MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A motorcyclist died as a result of injuries he sustained in a crash on the Content main road in Manchester on Thursday night.

Police identified the deceased as Shawn Wallace, 27, a construction worker and resident of New Hall district in the parish.

A police report said around 6:30 pm, Wallace and another man were travelling on a motorcycle on the main road when it collided with a motor truck.

The men were reportedly thrown from the motorcycle upon impact.

The injured men were taken to hospital where Wallace was pronounced dead and the pillion admitted in serious condition.
