Andrenette Knight was the only Jamaican individual winner at Sunday’s USATF Bermuda Grand Prix at Flora Duffy Stadium in Devonshire, Bermuda, after she won the women’s 400m hurdles.

Meanwhile, Shashalee Forbes became the 22nd Jamaican woman to go under 11.00 seconds in the 100m and a Jamaican team won the women’s 4x100m relays. Also, Jamaican Ackeem Blake ran a wind-aided 9.87 seconds (4.4m/s) for third in the men’s 100m.

Knight ran a season’s best 54.90 seconds to win a competitive women’s 400m hurdles and become the second fastest Jamaican woman in the event so far this season. Shiann Salmon, who was third place, and Ronda Whyte, who was fourth, were both timed in seasons’ best efforts of 55.56.

Forbes clocked a personal best 10.98 (2.0m/s), under the 11.10 seconds she ran at the Jamaican National Championships in 2017 and tied 11th best overall on the World Athletics rankings.

Her time is also the third fastest by a Jamaican women this season behind Shericka Jackson (10.82) and teenager Alana Reid (10.92). Forbes is now the joint 20th fastest Jamaican of all time.

American teenager Tamari Davis won the event with 10.91, while World Championships relay medallist Kemba Nelson finished sixth with a season’s best 11.14.

Blake was third behind the American pair of Christian Coleman (9.78) and Noah Lyles (9.80).

Kadrian Goldson ran a wind-aided 9.96 (3.8m/s) to win the Men’s B race, ahead of compatriot Michael Campbell (10.11) with Jevaughn Whyte sixth in 10.28.

Remona Burchell was third in the women’s B race with 11.15 (2.7m/s) with Jonielle Smith sixth in 11.18.

Former World Champion Danielle Williams was a good second in the 100m hurdles, running a wind-aided 12.38 (3.5m/s), behind 2022 World Championships bronze medallist Jasmine Camacho-Quinn’s 12.17. Olympic bronze medallist Megan Tapper was fourth with 12.47.

Tyler Mason finished fourth in the 110m hurdles in a wind-aided 13.30 (4.0m/s) with Damion Thomas fifth in 13.38.

Jordan Scott had a wind-aided 17.06m (2.1m/s) for third in the men’s triple jump; Candice McLeod was also third in the women’s 400m in 52.30; and Javon Francis ran a season’s best 45.81 seconds for fourth in the men’s race. Demish Gaye was one place behind with 45.92.

Ashanti Moore placed fourth in the women’s 200m with a wind-aided 22.78 (3.1m/s) and Chanice Porter finished sixth in the women’s long jump with 6.45m (2.3m/s).
