St Ann man accused of raping, blackmailing teen he met on TikTok
A St Ann man who reportedly told a woman she was sick and needed to visit him so he could perform some rituals on her to make her better has been slapped with several sex-related charges.
DeCarlos Christie, otherwise called ‘Jubby’, a 36-year-old farmer from Fullerton Park in Inverness, Alexandria, is also alleged to have threatened to release nude videos he told the woman to send him.
Christie was charged with abduction, rape, grievous sexual assault and using a computer for malicious commutation.
Police said the acts were committed between 7 pm and 10 pm on May 17 at the accused man’s home.
It was reported that Christie met the 18-year-old St Catherine woman on TikTok and told her something was wrong with her and she should oil her body and send the videos to him.
She sent the videos to him, and he then told her she must visit him in St Ann so he could perform some rituals on her to get her better. He reportedly warned that if she did not come, he would expose her videos.
Police said the woman visited St Ann and met with Christie, who took her home. The woman, the police said, was told that her discharge was needed to assist in performing the rituals.
The woman was raped and other sexual acts performed on her, the police said.
On May 19, 2023, Christie reported to the police on condition of bail in relation to another case and was taken into custody. On Friday he was pointed out on an identification parade and subsequently charged on Saturday.
