Dancehall crooner Dexta Daps lived up to his nickname “Dappa Dan” when he showed up and showed out on the BET Awards Red Carpet on Sunday.

Clad in a neon-green jacket suit, the Weak To You singer turned heads as he stole the fashion limelight at the hugely popular international award show.

So well dressed was the “Dappa Dan” that he was the sole Jamaican listed among the show’s Best Dressed by the global news publication, Insider.

In an article on Tuesday, Insider named the Jamaican – alongside the likes of American singer Coco Jones, producer Swizz Beatz, model Madisin Rian and actor Shameik Moore – as having some of the best red-carpet looks.

Dexta Daps accessorised the suit with an oversized statement ring, Givenchy sneakers, two necklaces, and Prada shades.

Having caught wind of his inclusion on the Best Dressed list, Dexta Daps took to Instagram to share the news with his 1.3 million strong fanbases.

“@bet @betawards Best Dressed. Seaview! Style fi eternity! Fashion wey mek she wa…with passion,” he captioned several photos of himself in the eye-catching suit.

He also thanked his stylist LaDonna Alicia.

Dexta Daps was among a quartet of Jamaicans who shared the BET stage with Hip-Hop legend Busta Rhymes on Sunday as they showcased the Jamaican culture and dancehall music. Spice, Cutty Ranks and Skillibeng were the other three Jamaicans who performed on Sunday night.
