Project STAR on show

Project STAR says 2023 is its awareness year as it continues to promote its social IPO on the Jamaica Social Stock Exchange (JSSE) which opened July 22. The team invited a group of social media influencers to help raise awareness of the social IPO, with an inspiring presentation about its programmes from Keith Duncan, co-chair and project sponsor of Project STAR, who also urged the influencers to leverage their platforms to inspire and engage individuals to support social and economic transformation in Jamaica. The meeting was filled with soul-touching testimonials from Project STAR beneficiaries, and intriguing questions were raised from influencers who took a deep interest in the initiative.

Kalando Wilmoth, Project STAR’s media and donor relations lead, was ready to answer them all. By the end of the evening a few influencers quickly signed on to donate to the organisation’s mission. The link-up event was held at the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica office in St Andrew last Tuesday and Business Social has the highlights.
