Bronze for Anderson in 800m at Pan Am Games
SANTIAGO, Chile – Navasky Anderson took Jamaica’s final medal at the Pan American Games in the men’s 800m final on Saturday.
Anderson clocked 1:46.40 seconds for bronze, behind Venezuela’s José Maita, who clocked 1:45.69 for gold, and Mexico’s Jesus Lopez, who claimed the silver in 1:46.04.
It is Jamaica’s fourth medal in track and field and sixth overall. They consist of one gold, by 400m hurdler Jaheel Hyde, and four other bronze by cyclist Dahlia Palmer, discus throwers Samantha Hall and Fedrick Dacres, and wrestler Aaron Johnson.
