Ever wondered what happens at The Port Authority of Jamaica (PAJ)? The answer is: A lot!
The PAJ is the principal maritime agency responsible for the regulation and development of Jamaica’s port and shipping industry. At its helm is president and CEO Professor Gordon Shirley, who on Wednesday, November 22 led his team in the celebration of the agency’s 50th anniversary.
The gala hosted by Dr Terri-Karelle Reid, took place at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel, with an opening performance by The Ashe Company and awards show starring over 180 employees being honoured for years of service and dedication. The evening culminated with PAJ Chairman Alok Jain presenting Shirley with the Visionary Award.
