GWM ORA 03 now available
The GWM ORA 03 is now available in Jamaica through Stewart’s Auto Sales, local dealers for the Great Wall Motor line of vehicles.
The model was unveiled at their South Camp Road showroom on Wednesday, June 19.
The ORA 03 is the first battery electric vehicle from the manufacturer built on an all-new electric platform. The form factor is that of a five-door hatchback, but it has been styled in what is referred to as retro-futuristic aesthetic.
Beyond the distinctive styling, the ORA 03 boasts youthful colour options, standard 18-inch wheels, and unique LED lights all around.
Inside, there is more future than retro with a significant suite of convenience and driver assist technology run from the 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen and accompanying instrument binnacle. There is a 360-degree camera, blind spot detection, lane keep assist, active cruise control, auto brake hold, wireless charging, and emergency braking to name a few of the standard features.
The ORA 03 will be sold in two variants, standard and the GT trim, which adds a sportier nature to the vehicle. The GT gets a body kit, panoramic roof, power seats, leather and Alcantara on the interior, and a few other racier bits to complete the package.
Motivating the ORA 03 are two electric motors, one on each front wheel, for a total output of 169 horsepower and 185lb/ft of torque from a 63kWh floor mounted battery. Range is listed at 480 kilometres. Using a CCS Type 2 charge port the ORA 03 can accept up to 11kW of AC charge and 67kW of DC fast charging. On AC power it will take six and half hours to charge to 100 per cent. Fast charging drops that time to 58 minutes.
