Ling and Lamb Meet ‘n’ Greet @ Pier 1 On The Beach

The marketplace for authentic Caribbean-made products, Caribshopper,
hosted husband-and-wife Internet sensations Yinka “Lamb” Lawanson and Taccara “Ling” Lawanson for an exclusive meet-and-greet as part of their whirlwind Jamaican tour dedicated to highlighting all things Jamaican.

The event took place last Saturday at Pier 1 On The Beach at Doctor’s Cave Beach in Montego Bay, with attendees getting a chance to interact with the influencers and Caribshopper representatives.

Caribshopper CEO Kadion Preston gave some insight on the move to invite the internet stars to Jamaica and show them a taste of Jamaican culture.

“Caribshopper is dedicated to bringing Caribbean and Jamaican culture to the world and making it accessible and convenient. We saw the value and connection Ling and Lamb created in showcasing Trinidadian culture and the plan was always to take them to Jamaica to replicate that effect. Through their experience on the island, we’re able to highlight the unique products and distinctive qualities that make it special. We thought that this would be a great opportunity to have them come to Jamaica, given their global reach of approximately 7.7 million, across their various platforms,” Preston explained.

As part of their whirlwind tour of the island, executed by hospitality and concierge expert Shikima Hinds, the couple visited several places including Tuff Gong Studio, Kingston Creative Art Walk tour, Alpha Boys’ School of Music, Simma Seafood & Lounge, and Chukka Ocean Outpost in Sandy Bay. The six-day trip culminated on Tuesday after a visit to the Reggae Sumfest Street Party in Montego Bay.
