BRIDGETOWN, Barbados — It was a multicultural crowd at night one of the Barbados Reggae Weekend as music lovers from across the region and the world gathered at the Kensington Oval to see their favourite iconic reggae artistes.
Night one, dubbed the Mount Gay Legends of Reggae Show and Dance, paid homage to the stalwarts of the genre with a lineup including Sister Nancy, JC Lodge, Super Cat, Barrington Levy, Norris Man and Biggie Irie.
Some concert goers told the Jamaica Observer who they hoped to see while others couldn’t choose just one.
Commenting on what keeps them coming back to Barbados Reggae Festival many patrons praised the vibe while others highlighted the lineup.
