Henry scores 40-1 upset at Gulfstream Park aboard Smooth an Easy
Jockey Wesley “Callaloo” Henry landed another Gulfstream Park winner on Friday, May 15, 2026, springing a 40-1 upset aboard Smooth an Easy.
Trained by Douglas Seyler, Smooth an Easy came from well off the pace to take the Maiden Claiming race over one mile on the dirt by half-length.
At the break, Smooth an Easy settled off the early pace in hand. He began to advance two wide near the quarter pole, angled out through the stretch to race outside of rivals, and surged home under all-out pressure to get the win.
Zenick finished second under Diego Herrera, with Be Wise Bob third for Samy Camacho. The final time was 1:38.0
