Week.day clocks it with Aidonia’s Like How Yuh Feel
Popular dancehall producer Jahvanie “Week.day” Morrison is celebrating a major win with Aidonia’s Like How Yuh Feel, as the track continues to make an impact across the Caribbean and beyond.
Released on May 22, the collaboration has earned impressive placements on the Apple Music charts while racking up over 1 million cumulative streams across platforms.
The track climbed to #1 in the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, Grenada, St Kitts and St Lucia. It further reached #2 in Antigua, Anguilla, Trinidad, and Barbados, while also securing a spot on the Kingston Top 25 chart at #12, highlighting the song’s strong reception among dancehall audiences throughout the region.
For Week.day, the achievement represents a rewarding moment after years of building a creative connection with Aidonia.
“This is not my first time working with him, but it’s the first time releasing one of the many projects we have worked on,” Week.day said.
The producer explained that the relationship developed naturally over time through shared industry connections, including Aidonia’s link with 450.
“The connection has been there for quite a while through him and 450 connecting. We’ve crossed paths at a lot of concerts and music festivals, so that’s where it started from until we started making some studio connects,” he said.
The collaboration process was fuelled by creativity and strong chemistry in the studio. Week.day created the rhythm and sent it to Aidonia, who later shared his vision for the track.
“Working with Aidonia is good vibes, positive energy, the work ethic is crazy. I created the rhythm, sent it to him, and he made me hear the idea one day at a music festival. From there we worked on the mix, release, arrangement, et cetera,” he said.
As the song continued to gain traction, Week.day expressed appreciation for the response from listeners.
“It’s great to see that when you put out music the fans love it. Seeing it chart number one in so many countries was a great feeling,” he said.
The producer credits consistency and patience as key parts of his creative approach.
“My formula is to always create even when you don’t feel like it. Keep working and let the emotions flow through the music, and always be patient,” Week.day said.
Following the success of Like How Yuh Feel, Week.day is keeping the momentum going with more new music on the way. His latest project, the Super Glue rhythm, already features collaborations with artistes including 450 and Silk Boss, with additional major names expected to be revealed soon.
He also teased an upcoming release with Jamarii featuring 450, describing it as a song that will be a significant moment for Jamarii.
