Shenseea tops Billboard Latin Airplay chart, a first for a Jamaican female artiste

Dancehall artiste Shenseea has made history on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, becoming the first female Jamaican artiste to reach the #1 spot.

Her collaboration with reggaeton artiste Daddy Yankee, titled Echo (FIFA World Cup 2026) leaped from #6 to land at #1 on the latest chart, dated July 11.

The song also appeared on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart, slipping from #27 to #29 after reaching a peak position of #26.

Executive produced by Tainy and produced by Massari and Jota Rosa, the song is featured on The Official FIFA World Cup 2026 album. It was released in April via SALXCO UAM and Def Jam Recordings.

Other Jamaicans who have topped the Billboard Latin Airplay chart include Sean Paul, producer Rvssian and Shaggy.
