OPTIMUM Jamaica has reinforced its commitment to strengthening Jamaica’s public health-care system with the donation of high-capacity printers to the Southeast Regional Health Authority (SERHA).

This will provide critical technology that will improve administrative efficiency and support the delivery of health-care services to thousands of patients across Kingston and St Andrew.

The donation is in direct response to an urgent operational need identified by SERHA and will enable health-care professionals to produce patient records, clinical documents, referral forms, educational materials, and other essential resources more efficiently, thus reducing administrative bottlenecks and allowing staff to focus more time on patient care.

As Jamaica’s largest regional health authority, SERHA serves more than half of the country’s population, making investments in its operational capacity vital to improving health-care delivery.

“This donation comes at a time when it is most needed,” said Sharon Greenwood, medical social worker at SERHA.

“We have significant demands on our services and face ongoing shortages of essential equipment, particularly printers. These resources will immediately strengthen our day-to-day operations and ultimately improve the quality of service we provide. We sincerely thank Optimum Jamaica for continuing to invest in our communities,” added Greenwood.

The initiative forms part of Optimum Jamaica’s broader commitment to creating meaningful social impact through partnerships that strengthen public institutions and improve the lives of Jamaicans.
