Loving you
PriceSmart business agent Godfrey Davis and supervisor at Esty Caterers Neisha Harper are still basking in the aftermath of their nuptials that took place on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Pembroke Hall Methodist Church. It was love at first sight when their eyes locked while strolling on campus at the Boys’ Town Vocational Training Centre, where they were both students of the Level 3 chef de partie course in 2015. “Godfrey made his feelings known and told me how he wanted me to be a part of his life,” shared Neisha with Vows . The reality that their feelings were mutual hit home one day when she called to check up on him because he was absent from class. From that phone call, their friendship blossomed and turned into love. Indeed, the proposal of marriage followed a year later on Neisha’s birthday, April 4 2016.
Here comes the bride…
Witnessed by immediate family members and friends, the couple exchanged vows guided by Reverend Stephen Mullings inside the Pembroke Hall Methodist Church, where the team from Fay J’s Wedding Decor and Event Planning used shades of rose pink, royal blue, and gold to enhance the space. Neisha was escorted up the aisle by her father Donavon Harper to Jennifer Hudson’s Giving Myself. She was a picture-perfect bride in a V-neck mermaid corset, fit-and-flare white gown with layers of tulle and lace from Sweetest Wedding Jamaica. Her bridegroom, suave in suiting by Daniel’s Tailoring, waited anxiously for the arrival of his bride.
The reception…
… was held at Mae’s Building. Formalities commenced when the master of ceremonies Ajohn Christie announced the arrival of the bridal party to Davido’s If. The newly-weds danced into the venue to My Woman My Everything by Patoranking featuring Wande Coal. This was immediately followed by their official first dance as husband and wife to Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud. There was also a father-and-daughter dance to Bob Carlisle’s Butterfly Kisses and a mother-and-son dance to A Song For Mama by Boyz II Men. Formalities continued with the cutting of the three-tiered fruitcake by Junior’s Gourmet and a scrumptious three-course meal by Junior’s Gourmet and Esty Caterers. It was truly an occasion to remember.
The honeymoon
Neisha and Godfrey enjoyed a “mini-moon” at the Hilton Hotel, Montego Bay.
