Coaster bus crashes in ditch along highway
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – A Coaster bus driver this morning escaped serious injuries after the vehicle ran off the road and into a ditch along Mandela Highway.
The bus was travelling along the busy roadway about 10:00 am when the driver claimed he swerved to avoid a collision with another vehicle.
“Reports are that when he swerved the bus ran off the road and ended up in the ditch,” said a police officer on the scene.
No one was injured in the crash.
The development has caused massive traffic pile up along the roadway as motorist slow down to get a view of the vehicle.
