$20.8-m road projects for St Elizabeth
MORE than seven kilometres of roadway was recently rehabilitated under the St Elizabeth Parish Council’s Infrastructure Development Programme (PIDP), at a cost of $20.8 million.
Almost one and a half kilometres of the Russell Hill road in the Balaclava Division; 1.085 kms of the Brompton Lane road in the Brompton Division and 1.228 kms of the Maybole Road in the New Market area were rehabilitated by Benthom Construction Limited.
Work on these three roads started in early February and was completed four months later at a cost of $11.342 million.
Meanwhile, 0.8 km of the Chocolate Hole/Nembhard Town Road in the Junction Division; 1.038 kms of the Portsea-Rose Hall Road at Myersville; 1.116kms of the Southampton Road in the Braes River Division, and 1.030 kms of the Logwood Road in Black River were also rehabilitated. The work was undertaken by the Asphalting Specialists at a cost of $9.446 million.
