Police probing shootings in Kingston
POLICE were up to late last night probing the circumstances surrounding the murders of two men who were killed in separate incidents in the corporate area yesterday.
Police have so far identified one of the men as Omar Samuels, also called ‘Ricky’ of a James Street address, downtown Kingston. The other man remained unidentified.
The first murder occurred in downtown Kingston minutes before daylight yesterday.
According to the police, Samuels was on his way to purchase marijuana when he was attacked by a group of armed men at the intersection of Wildman and Beeston streets.
The thugs then sprayed him with bullets. He died on the spot.
Meanwhile, police found the body of the unidentified man just after 6:00 am along the National Heroes’ Circle. The body, which was clad in a light blue shirt, blue jeans and white Reebok sneakers, had gunshot wounds to the back and forehead, just above the right eye.
The police are asking anyone with information about the killings to come forward.
