Grange Hill advances
WHITEHOUSE, Westmoreland
Promoted Grange Hill FC joined Seba United in the lead in the Captain’s Bakery Western Confederation Super League after blanking Negril FC 4-0 at the White Hall Housing Scheme field on Tuesday.
Ryan McIntyre scored the season’s first hat-trick to lead last season’s Westmoreland FA Major League champions on a route in the Westmoreland derby.
McIntyre scored in the 3rd, 55th and 87th minute, the last coming from the penalty spot while Anthony Campbell scored the other in the
70th minute.
Seba United who were demoted from the Premier League last season opened their account on Sunday with a 4-0 win over Mt Salem at Jarrett Park after Granville had beaten Violet Kickers 2-0.
Defending champions Wadadah were held to a 2-2 draw by another promoted team Clarks Town in Trelawny on Tuesday.
There were also wins for Frome FC of Westmoreland and Mt Pelier FC of Hanover.
Frome edged Salt Spring of St James 2-1 at the UDC field while Mt Pelier edged promoted Bamboo 1-0 in a Hanover derby..
