MARIAH IS PREGNANT!

People Post

After months of speculation, Mariah Carey has finally confirmed she is expecting her first child with husband Nick Cannon in the spring.

The 41-year-old singer made the announcement on The Today Show yesterday and admitted that both she and Cannon are “absolutely emotional” about the news.

In a sneak peek of Mariah’s Access Hollywood three-part interview, Mariah is seen saying: “Yes, we are pregnant. This is true. It’s been a long journey. It’s been tough because I’ve been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy.” The singer also said she felt she had to speak out to confirm the news, adding: “At this point, there is no choice. I either talk or I hibernate.” While Mariah refused to name her due date, she did say: “It’s still early” before continuing, “expecting is great”. Cannon, 30, added: “The greatest gift on earth is a child. We’ve had names picked out from the first day we met and we want to stay true to that.” The happy news comes after Mariah had a miscarriage nearly two years ago. In the interview with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush, she said the experience had been both traumatic and painful. She said: “It kind of shook us both and took us into a place that was really dark and difficult. When that happened, I wasn’t able to even talk to anybody about it. That was not easy.” Cannon added: “It definitely brought us closer together. It strengthened our relationship so much… She handled it so well.”

He hailed his wife’s strength for being able to laugh in front of the cameras, but later, “crying herself to sleep”. Carey said that the baby was conceived naturally, and added that the couple does not know its gender.

Who’s the dummy responsible for this?

Taylor Swift unveils a waxwork model that looks nothing like her

Country music sensation Taylor Swift unveiled her new wax statue today at Madame Tussauds in London.

The singer gave her doppelgänger a thumbs-up as she posed alongside it in a shimmering black and silver dress by British designer Jenny Packham. The statue didn’t actually bear that much of a resemblance to the 20-year-old, who managed to be terribly polite nonetheless. The makers of the wax statue seemed to have used a mystery blonde girl as a model for the statue, which slightly resembled Swift around the eyes but nowhere else. Even the matching dress and guitar didn’t make it look more like her, but the You Belong With Me star is remaining upbeat and positive about her new twin. She even posted a picture of herself with the statue on her Twitter page, with the caption “Bring on the pretenders”.

Kelly Osbourne goes for gold as she recreates iconic Goldfinger scene

After dramatically changing her diet and lifestyle, Kelly Osbourne is looking slimmer than ever, so with the reality TV star feeling more confident with her body than ever before, Kelly has decided to bare nearly all in a new campaign. The former pop star, who turned 26 two days ago, celebrated her shapely figure by posing nearly naked in gold paint in the style of Shirley Eaton in the Bond film Goldfinger.

Kelly was persuaded to strip off to mark the launch of Sky+HD reaching over 50 channels in high definition. She started to slim down while on Dancing With The Stars last year and lost more weight after the recent end of her engagement to model Luke Worrall. She now follows a lowcarb, sugar-free diet that is rich in protein and vegetables and spends three days a week at the gym and the other four doing 30-minute runs on the treadmill.

“I’m more inclined to go for a bag of carrots now than a bag of chips. I never thought I would turn into that girl but I have,” she enthused.
