Power-ful end for Rally JA 2013
RALLY Jamaica will end with a massive stage and lyme on Sunday, December 1.
Its organisers hope that it will be just as spectacular as the event’s signature downtown Kingston waterfront finale.
“We’re combining the Wakefield and Bybrook stages in Bog Walk, St Catherine to make one long speed stage. We’re calling it the Power Stage,” said Lawrence Henriques, a director of Rallysport Promotions Limited, organisers of the event.
The Power Stage will have its stand-alone trophies, to be awarded from first to the third fastest overall time, regardless of class. This is an added incentive to keep the action going until the very last moment of the rally.
“The Power Stage will be open to quad and trail bikes should they wish to get involved,” Henriques told Auto.
Motorsports fans will also have lots of extra stuff to keep them busy with the Tru-Juice Rally Lyme to be held on the Bybrook Stage.
“The lyme is free to the public and we want rally fans to come out and see all the cars in action,” said Rojah Thomas, brand manager at Tru-Juice.
The spot for the party, scheduled to kick off at 7:30 am, is one of the most picturesque on the Bybrook stage.
A hill-top VIP section which offers an incredible view of the stage via an elevated deck, and free mixed drinks using the Tru-Juice portfolio of products, can be enjoyed for $1,000 per person.
ZJ Ice will be providing the music and the party will continue until 6:00 pm.
