There’s a well-quoted ‘Wintourism’ that goes: ‘It’s always about timing. If it’s too soon, no one understands. If it’s too late, everyone’s forgotten.’

However, it seems Anna Wintour may have forgotten to live some of the joys of Christmas this year, with that timing obsession seeing Vogue’s famed neat freak tossing out her tree before Santa had arrived.

Bee Shaffer, daughter of the celebrated perfectionist, posted a photo on her Instagram on Christmas Day showing a bunch of presents and designer shopping bags sitting all on their lonesome.

“My mom threw out our tree before Christmas Day because “it was too messy”‘, Shaffer posted.

The holiday snap was presumably taken inside Wintour’s Greenwich Village townhouse in New York City, although she also has a home on Long Island.

Shaffer, 26, moved back to Manhattan earlier this year from LA, where she had been working for Glee creator Ryan Murphy, to take a job as a segment producer for Seth Meyers at NBC.

Just last week, Wintour — who is also Condé Nast’s artistic director and reportedly earns over $2 million a year — hosted her annual Christmas party at the Greenwich Village townhouse.

Perhaps the tree had already served its festive function when Wintour decided it was to be taken down.

Wintour, 64, lives at the house with her long-term partner, Texas-born billionaire and

telecommunications pioneer Shelby Ryan.

Festive friends!

Christmas certainly is the time of year to eat, drink, be merry and take a lot of ‘selfies’.

That was the order of the day from celebrities across the globe, including new mother Jaime King and her friend Jessica Alba, who is godmother to her new baby boy James Knight.

The pair teamed up on Christmas for a set of hilarious and adorable photos.

“With James Knight and his Nina (godmother) @jessicaalba — thank you Jess for your unending love and light — we are so grateful for you,” Jaime wrote in one caption.

Jaime’s adorable new son James — whom she gave birth to in October — posed with his mother and godmother in the picture.

In another picture, Jaime and Jessica were joined by Jessica’s brother Joshua in a pink bunny outfit, while Jessica’s father Mark had dressed up as Santa.

Someone’s feeling ‘fussy’!

Not everyone is looking forward to the festivities and fun that the New Year brings, especially Shakira’s bouncing baby boy.

The Colombian beauty’s nearly one-year-old son seemed more interested in a nap as he wailed for the camera in a new picture posted by his proud father, Gerard Pique, on Wednesday.

The 36-year-old was playfully sympathetic as she’s shown holding up her crying baby while scrunching up her pretty face to mimic his pitiful expression.

Most amazing was the resemblance between mother and child with their squinty eyes, wrinkled noses and flattening mouths.

While Milan appeared to be bawling in earnest, Shakira’s expression was merely for the camera.

The little boy was outfitted in a handsome blue and purple checkered shirt, and Shakira went casual in comfy blue denim.

Along with the cute photo, 26-year-old Spanish footballer Gerard wrote, “Mimosos.. | Us desitjem un Bon Nadal a tothom! Feliz Navidad a todos! Merry Christmas to everyone!”

‘Mimosos’ means ‘fussy’ and the rest, of course, is Pique’s wish for everyone to have a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas.

Not that Milan was paying much attention at that pivotal moment when all he seemed to want was to be left alone.
