Champions League player of the week- Matchday 2
Matchday two culminated yesterday leaving football fans with a lot to talk about.
Regardless of your preferred team, it is safe to say that the player of the match week that was predicted. Islam Slimani, has stepped up and earned his title as player of the matchday.
Leicester City clipped Porto 1-0 with the single goal coming from the ‘dragon slayer’ Islam Slimani in the 25th minute. Leicester shook off their embarrassing Manchester United defeat to become the first English team to win their first two Champions League fixtures. With a typically strong defense, Slimani only had to do his job and Leicester City would have collected the three points.
Slimani really stepped up and did his job against Porto and for that, he is our Champions League player of the matchday.
