#TrackingMatthew: Tax offices reopen islandwide
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Tax Administration Jamaica has advised that its tax and business offices island wide have reopened for business.
The public is being further advised that there may be delays in the service as systems are currently being brought back online, TAJ said in a release Tuesday morning.
Additionally, not all members of staff have been able to report to work and this will also affect the delivery of regular services, the release added.
People are being reminded that they may visit the website at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm to conduct their transactions online.
The advisory came as the Meteorological Service of Jamaica discontinued the Tropical Storm Warning for Jamaica.
The island is no longer facing the threat of tropical storm-force winds as Hurricane Matthew continues to move away and weather conditions improve.
