Do you question the ethics of persuasion?

Oftentimes it is difficult to determine a person’s true intentions. I try to ensure my encounters are morally right; however, persons may not necessarily see my position or believe I am being ethical based on their own value systems.

How do you calculate your self-worth?

My self-worth and value are determined by faith. I believe I am a daughter of a king and as such, my value or worth is unchangeable despite how I may feel on a not-so-great day.

How did philanthropy become your personal style?

It may sound clichéd but I truly do believe I was born with a calling on my life to serve, namely the children of Jamaica. I simply walked into my purpose!

Is the notion of community development limited to the grassroots?

No, the purported goal of community development is to eradicate poverty, raise standards of living, and provide all the requisites for happiness such as education, food, health, et cetera. I wouldn’t limit the capacity to see a need and take action to just one level.

If there is one message or lesson you could impart to the most vulnerable in our society, what would it be?

Hope exists even in the darkest moments and miracles still happen every day. Look for them.

or anyone else held in high esteem by the public can inspire others into social good participation. Whether or not their ‘fans’ actually give of their time and tithe, these persons succeed in raising awareness and, at the least, serve as thought leaders who spark discussion and action among many who have the capacity to create effective change.

Which literary hero/heroine do you most admire?

Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Atticus stood his ground despite being mocked and threatened for going against what was considered the modus operandi. His character is eternally relevant, especially today, when persons tend to be afraid to act out of fear of what others may think.

Describe your work-life balance.

My doctor would argue I don’t have a balance. The truth is, as a newly-wed with two important posts, I am still in pursuit of finding the right balance. I do however strive to set boundaries with my time and ensure I’m getting enough rest.
