Message from the Leader of the Opposition
I join in conveying sincere congratulations to the Jamaican team of PricewaterhouseCoopers on your very special anniversary. One hundred years of service by any organisation is deserving of commendation and celebration. Over the century, PwC has distinguished itself as being among the leading global accounting and integrated service consultants now operating in some 157 countries with an experienced and knowledgeable team which numbers some 225,000 people.
Building this global network of professionals and PwC’s enviable record of corporate achievements required skill, expert management, dedication, focus and plain hard work. The team has been involved in providing solutions in a vast array of fields including accounting, project management, information technology, human resource management, the application of technology to a variety of undertakings as well as a range of humanitarian efforts.
PricewaterhouseCoopers’ has been a very visible and vital member of the Jamaican business community and they have provided critical service not only to the private sector but also to the government and civil society.
PricewaterhouseCoopers’ stated objective is to add value to its clients and to the communities in which they work. This mission has been accomplished in many respects and the organisation is to be commended for constantly seeking to surpass its previous accomplishments in terms of service delivery.
I congratulate the dedicated and hardworking staff and management, past and present, of PwC and wish for them many more years of success as the company applies the lessons of the past 100 years into charting an even more exciting and successful future.
