EMERGING singjay Singdi is announcing her arrival on the music scene with the EDM-influenced Roll and the dancehall-flavoured Bad Mind.

“The feedback has been great so far. My phone blows up when the songs play on radio and my fans have been retweeting on Twitter, I am so excited right now,” she told the Jamaica Observer.

Both tracks were produced by CK of Red Voice Productions imprint.

Roll had its debut four months ago while Bad Mind was released last month.

She has high expectations for the latter which she describes as “semi-autobiographical”.

“This song is very important to me because I have faced so many challenges growing up. I want to inspire others to persevere and pursue their dreams, despite the obstacles,” said the 6-ft 1-inch artiste.

Singdi (given name Loraine Hyde) grew up in the Bog Walk area and attended Bog Walk High School in St Catherine.

She said she is bringing a new sound to local music.

“I want to create a new sound, to blend rock/pop/dancehall together, creating a new sound, a new genre, a new movement,” she said.

She said she wants her music to go mainstream and intends to put in the hard work.

“My work ethic is like no other as I will do the work endlessly to achieve my goals,” she said.
