TORONTO-BASED artiste Classick B and roots singer Abajonai are two of the acts on the third ‘Stop The Violence Tour’ show, which takes place in Negril tomorrow at Bourbon Beach.

Both are concerned with another rampant year of homicides in Jamaica.

“Di crime ting get outta hand…di violence escalate to a point where yuh don’t know where it going. Right now di youths need more community centres to occupy their time,” said Abajonai, who performed on the previous ‘Stop The Violence’ shows.

Kingston-born Classick B, who has lived in Toronto since 1990, follows the news from Jamaica regularly. He is disturbed by what he reads and hears.

“I hear about the violence in Kingston and Spanish Town an’ it don’t sound good. Jamaica is my place of birth an’ I have family here, so I care about what’s going on,” he said.

Abajonai is promoting his latest songs Do Some Good Today and Incense Burning. Salvation is Classick B’s current release from his EP One Man Soldier.

The previous Stop The Violence Tour shows were held in Grants Pen and Mandela Park in St Andrew.
