She’s A Maneater …as

She’s A Maneater, last season’s most promising two-year-old, makes her debut as a three-year-old among older horses on a favourable-looking 11-race programme underlined by the Alexander Hamilton Trophy Open Allowance call at Caymanas Park today.

Also carded is the Mercury Sprint where a quite promising field of 13 native-bred three-year-olds will contest the maidens special weight contest going 1,000 metres straight for a purse of $768,000.

A number of lively aspirants are carded that possess the ability to shed the maiden tag forthwith headed by

Don Chassis, Milagro, Nuclear Commander, Uncle Freddie andLoose Cannon.

The Alexander Hamilton Trophy feature has attracted a paltry field of six starters going 1,600 metres for a purse of $845,000 and is positioned as the second to last call on the card with a post time set at approximately 4:45 pm. The first post is at 12:10 pm.

The winner is more than likely to come from either

Blue Dixie, Pinelope and the top-weightedRoyal Vibes, whose win last Saturday is clear indication he is back in form.

The talented filly

Pinelope (Porto Santo — Black Thatch), who had beaten a good field over 1,400 metres on December 10 of last year, has been training well and should brush aside her opponents to register her sixth career win.

She’s A Maneater, prepared for racing by the 16-time champion trainer Wayne DaCosta for owner/breeder Winston Kong, chronicled three of her four races as a two-year-old after just failing to win the Supreme Ventures Limited Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes — the most prized jewel of the native-bred two-year-olds racing season.

The bay filly by

Natural Selection out of theRoyal Minister mareAhwhofah is slated to launch her three-year-old racing career in the opening call, a race for three-year-olds and upward, imported three-year-olds and upward (NW3) lifetime and native-bred three-year-olds, going 1,400 metres for a purse of $768,000.

From her exercise reports,

She’s A Maneater looks refreshed in her preparation for the upcoming Classic races, going 1,400 metres. It is a distance that she has already conquered while winning the Pick3 Super Challenge, the second jewel in the Supreme Ventures Native-bred Two-Year-Old Triple Series.

She’s A Maneater captured the event in a smart run of 1:26 minutes while carrying 54.0kg. She will carry 3.0kg lighter in today’s call, but this time she will be up against firmer opposition inAnother Fury, who has completed 1,400 metres in a smart 1:25.2 in her last race, carrying a feather of 49.5kg. With that run,Another Fury could set the stage for an exciting opening event.
