Coopers Pen hunt victory against Spicy Hill
FALMOUTH, Trelawny — Knockout champions Cooper’s Pen FC can join mid-season champions Harmony FC at the top of the points table in the Trelawny Football Association Monymusk Plantation Rum Major League if they can beat Spicy Hill SC in a third-round cross-zone match at Georgia Play field today, starting at 3:30 pm.
Cooper’s Pen are on 23 points, three behind Harmony FC, but trail on goal difference and would have to win by a margin of nine goals to go ahead of Harmony FC, who play tomorrow at home to Granville FC.
Spicy Hill SC are in sixth place on 19 points, four points outside of the semi-final positions.
Also today, teams in the lower half of the table can help themselves with wins. In those squabbles, eighth-placeed Kinloss FC are at home to 10th-placed Rio Bueno FC, while Invaders SC and Daniel Town FC — the cellar teams — will face each other at Unity Sports Grounds.
