#CariftaGames: Jamaica exacta in girls’ U18, U20 100m hurdles
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaicans Britany Anderson and Daszay Freeman achieved a one-two finish in the final of the girls’ Under-18 100m hurdles in Curacao moments ago.
Anderson of Vere Technical, won in a new games record of 13.16 seconds eclipsing the previous mark of 13.29 seconds, followed by Freeman of Manchester High in 13.39 seconds.
Gabrielle Gibson (14.07s) from the Bahamas completed the top three.
Meanwhile, in the Under-20 event, Amoi Brown and Janeek Brown ran to gold and silver respectively to beat Laetitia Bapte of Martinique who finished with bronze.
Amoi, of Vere Technical, finished in 13.44 seconds while Janeek, of Wolmer’s Girls finished in 13.49 seconds. Bapte followed the two in 13.79 seconds.
