Digicel teams up with Red Cross in TCI recovery
DIGICEL has forged a partnership with the international relief organisation, Red Cross, in the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) which the telecommunications provider said yesterday will allow its customers and the public the convenience of seeking pertinent aid information from the NGO at its location during the Hurricane Irma recovery efforts.
Digicel, in a release, said it has also equipped all Red Cross personnel with handsets to assist them with relief efforts in the British overseas territory.
“The Turks and Caicos Islands were one of the Caribbean territories severely affected by the monster storm, and in its wake, a Digicel technical team is working around the clock to get service back up and running,” the company said in a release.
