Bootylicious, the spirited five-year-old bay mare, ended her competitive racing career on a high note, capturing Division 1 of the Nigel B Nunes Memorial Cup on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

Ridden by Raddesh Roman, Bootylicious unleashed a breathtaking burst of speed to outpace her rivals by 3 lengths in the Overnight Allowance contest over five furlongs (1,000m), clocking an impressive 59.3.

Bootylicious (Key to Power – Keep the Faith) will now embark on a new life at The Paradise at Spring Village Stud Farm in St Catherine, Jamaica, transitioning from racing’s spotlight to breeding’s promise.

Confirmation of Bootylicious’ retirement came from her trainer Peter-John Parsard.

“Yes, the decision has been taken to retire Bootylicious after what was a stellar career. As you are aware, she last raced on Sunday, October 5, 2025, winning over the five-straight course in the Nigel Nunes Memorial Cup,” he said.

Parsard also confirmed that Bootylicious emerged from her final racing engagement in excellent condition.

“After she raced on Sunday, Bootylicious came back in fine fettle — sound and injury-free, as if she wanted to race again right away. But we’re looking to the future, and the ownership group has decided to retire her,” the trainer explained.

Bootylicious raced 21 times, securing 10 wins, three second-place finishes, and two third-place finishes. She departs the racing scene for her new life at the breeding farm with career earnings exceeding $8.7 million.

Parsard indicated that Bootylicious will most likely be mated with the stallion Pipeline, one of four currently standing at Paradise at Spring Village. Pipeline is an American-bred by Speightstown out of Vivo Per Lei.

The other three stallions at Paradise are – Bern Identity (Bernstein – Maddalena), Atoka (Union Rags – Splendor Town), and Big City Bob (Shanghai Bobby – Southern Accents).
