BASED on racing condition and his running style, Another One looks the prime candidate to take home the $1.25-million Charles Hussey OD Trophy feature at Caymanas Park today.

This consistent three-year-old bay colt, conditioned by Anthony Nunes, has an impressive track record with four wins, one second-, and three third-place-finishes from 11 career starts, earning over $3 million in Stakes.

His last win was at this exact distance — five furlongs (1,000m) straight in a Restricted Stakes contest — over which he beat
Miss MoneyPenny by half a length in 58.1 seconds.

Although his recent Overnight Allowance performances have been mixed (third, third, and fourth place),
Another One’s training has been on point, with a solid gallop of five and a half furlongs in 1:0.8.0 and five furlongs in 1:02.0 on December 5.

With experienced jockey Dane Nelson in the saddle Another One is a top contender to take home this trophy race.

The contest is positioned as the ninth and final race on the day, with a post time of 5:00 pm, but the first race is at 12 noon.

Another One has some tough competition, though! His stablemate Magnificent Force and Commander Z, trained by Spencer Chung, are looking to give him a run for his money.

Magnificent Force is a dark horse with potential. Despite being off the board in her last five starts she’s shown flashes of brilliance in the past. You never know what a filly like her is capable of, especially with her pedigree and talent. She’s definitely a threat, and if she can tap into that potential she could give
Another One a run for his money.

Commander Z is another one to watch. He’s a consistent performer but just hasn’t quite clicked recently. However, that five-furlong straight course is his thing, and he’s won before at this distance. Could be a sneakily good run from him, and with his experience he’s not out of it yet.
