World Cup fever grips Corporate Area
Watch parties draw growing crowds
The roar of football fans, the clinking of beer mugs, and the sight of jerseys from every corner of the globe have become familiar scenes across the Corporate Area as Jamaica embraces the excitement of the FIFA 2026 World Cup.
As the tournament kicks into high gear, local restaurants, bars and entertainment venues have already opened their doors to hundreds of football enthusiasts eager to experience the drama of the season alongside fellow supporters. With several successful watch parties already on the books, organisers say the energy is only expected to intensify as the competition progresses.
At Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records (UBT&R), football fans have been turning out in strong numbers to catch some of the tournament’s biggest match-ups.
“It has been high energy at UBT&R so far and, of course, our fans would expect nothing less as they’ve grown accustomed to high-quality viewing experiences of all their favourite sporting events at Tracks & Records,” said Marketing Manager Jizelle Cowan.
According to her, supporters showed up in large numbers for Brazil’s opening fixture, creating an atmosphere that reflected the passion and excitement synonymous with World Cup football.

“Saturday we had a good turnout for the Brazil match, and we’re expecting the support to grow as the tournament progresses. We are committed to showing the matches people are highly interested in, and so we just want our patrons to tune into our social media platforms to follow up on everything this season,” she added.
To enhance the viewing experience, UBT&R has rolled out a range of World Cup promotions. Patrons can purchase a branded beer mug, while there are also bucket specials. Through a partnership with Red Stripe, customers also have an opportunity to win prizes. Food offerings during the tournament include a special platter inspired by the World Cup’s three host nations, alongside several options.
Meanwhile, football fans looking for a unique outdoor experience have been making their way to Caymanas Park, where Supreme Ventures Limited has transformed the venue into a World Cup tailgate destination.
“What makes our watch party series unique and exciting is the fact that it’s a tailgate experience,” explained Chloleen Daley-Muschett, assistant vice-president of public relations and corporate affairs at Supreme Ventures Limited.
“That means you and your crew can pull up to the infield at Caymanas Park and watch your favourite teams on the biggest outdoor screen in Jamaica. Tailgate means you decide on what food and drinks to take with you. You come in your car, bring your chairs and just have a good time,” she said.
For patrons who prefer to purchase refreshments on-site, Daley-Muschett noted that partnerships with Wisynco, Rum-Bar, and Kingston Jerk ensure that food and beverage options are readily available throughout the events.
Beyond the football itself, organisers have incorporated entertainment elements to keep the energy high before, during, and after the matches.
“We will also have music so there will be entertainment during the breaks, as well as pre- and post-game. On Saturday when we showed the Brazil match, the energy and vibe was good. Persons were having fun, so much so they lingered well after the matches ended and just played dominoes and carried on the vibe,” she told the Jamaica Observer.
The World Cup buzz extends well beyond these venues. Popular locations such as 100, Island Vibes, Summit, Lucky Play Lottery Store, and Timber Lounge in Portmore have also been drawing football fans eager to cheer on their favourite teams in a lively atmosphere. Community bars and chill spots have also been gaining decent crowds.
Adding another dimension to the viewing experience, Palace Amusement has also joined in the action, screening selected World Cup matches at Carib 5 and Sunshine Palace cinemas.
With group stage drama already delivering memorable moments and the knockout rounds still to come, organisers across the island are preparing for even larger crowds, bigger celebrations, and more unforgettable football nights.
