From thought-provoking perspectives to moving accounts of triumph over adversity, the 2026 Jamaica Observer Foodie Seminar delivered a day of profound impact. Held at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel on Tuesday, June 16, the forum brought together industry stakeholders who shared their knowledge with students from the University of Technology, Jamaica School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, HEART/NSTA Trust, and Holy Trinity High School. As the countdown to the 27th staging of the Jamaica Observer Table Talk Food Awards intensifies, Page 2 relives more moments from an inspiring day.

Catching up on the latest headlines from the Jamaica Observer ahead of the presentations were the Rainforest team of (from left) Chef Manford Walker, Digital Marketer Mandie Guthrie, and Food and Beverage Manager Daniel Bronkhorst. Garfield Robinson
