After nine weeks of intense 4-a-side scrimmage matches and a massive showdown in Half-Way-Tree on Labour Day, the Gulf Strikers of St Thomas reigned supreme over more than 300 teams islandwide who competed for the LIME Street Football Challenge Championship title, $1 million and an all-expense-paid trip to Trinidad to compete in the Regional Guinness Street Football Competition.
The team had the pleasure to receive expert tips and advice from recently retired Reggae Boy and former Bolton Wanderers player, Ricardo ‘Bibi’ Gardener, who coached the team through the two-hour practice session.
