Cops find ganja, fuel hidden in Hellshire mangroves
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Police officers assigned to the Marine Division and the Narcotics Division yesterday seized large quantities of ganja and fuel at Great Salt Pond, Hellshire in St Catherine.
Reports from the police are that between 11:50 am and 5:50 pm, during a special operation in the area, 34 bags of ganja weighing approximately 805 pounds and 31 15-gallon drums of fuel amounting to approximately 1,730 litres were found hidden in mangroves.
The ganja has an estimated street value of J$3.2 million.
The police say no one was arrested in connection with the find.
