Motorcyclist dies after crashing in Hanover
HANOVER, Jamaica— The police are probing the circumstances surrounding the death of a motorcyclist in Logwood, Hanover on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old farmer Micky Nasmyth of the said district.
According to the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), Nasmyth was travelling on his motorcycle with a pillion rider along the Logwood main road about 10:30 pm, when it is said that a motor vehicle drove into his path.
This reportedly caused him to lose control of his motorcycle and crash.
Nasmyth and the pillion rider were thrown from the vehicle, the police said.
They both sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital where Nasmyth was pronounced dead and the other man admitted.
